Pecan nuts are not only delicious but also offer several health benefits. They are packed with nutrients and can be a great addition to a healthy diet. As for the harvest dates, pecans are typically harvested in the fall, usually between September and November, depending on the region. Let’s explore the health benefits of pecan nuts:

1. Heart Health: The monounsaturated fats found in pecans, such as oleic acid, can help reduce bad cholesterol (LDL) levels and increase good cholesterol (HDL) levels. This can contribute to a lower risk of heart disease.

2. Antioxidants: Pecans are rich in antioxidants, including vitamin E and phenolic compounds. Antioxidants help neutralize harmful free radicals in the body, reducing oxidative stress and inflammation (Lyme patients).
