HERE´S A RECIPE FOR A REISHI IMMUNBOOSTER SMOOTHIE


• 1 ripe banana

• 1 cup frozen mixed berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries)

• 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)

• 1 tablespoon almond butter (or any nut butter)

• 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)

• 1 teaspoon reishi mushroom powder (at Keliza in Mahone Bay)

• 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, some mulberries, ¼ tsp of ginger powder, ¼ tsp of curcuma powder, ½ tsp of cacao

• Ice cubes (optional, for a thicker smoothie), dark chocolate sprinkles

Instructions:

1. Peel the ripe banana and place it in the blender.

2. Add the frozen mixed berries to the blender.

3. Pour in the almond milk and add the almond butter.

4. If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, add honey or maple syrup at this stage.

5. Sprinkle in the reishi mushroom powder and ground cinnamon etc.

6. If you want a thicker smoothie, you can also add some ice cubes.

7. Blend all the ingredients together until smooth and creamy.

8. Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness or reishi mushroom powder according to your liking.

9. Pour the reishi smoothie into a glass, top it with some dark chocolate or/and chia seeds and enjoy it right away!


Reishi mushrooms can have a slightly bitter taste, so feel free to experiment with the other ingredients to find the right balance for your palate.
