Easy to grow, easy to harvest, delicious and a rich source of vitamins (A, B, K, C) and minerals (Calcium) – as all members of the onion family have.

This herb is known for its anticarcinogenic, antidementia, antidepressant and cardiovascular beneficial properties. Sounds too good to be true!

Moreover it contains carotenoids which help the retina of our eyes to stay healthy.

In Germany we have a dish with curd cheese with salt, pepper and tons of chopped chives served with mashed potatoes. But it is also great in every salad. It is easy to freeze – I always have a container in my freezer. The flowers are pretty and edible too!!

Who can resist?
