CHINESE YOGA – OR 8 BRACADES – WHAT IS THAT???

By Dr. med. Claudia Schmiemann

The 8 Brocades are Qi Gong exercises that are practiced to allow silk like movements. Coming from old Chinese tradition these easy movements have been performed for thousands of years on a daily basis.

Being on the Asian continent you can often see gatherings of people on the street, in parks or on bridges at all times of the day implementing health enhancing stretching and breathing in their every day routine. It is about activating meridians (energy vessels on which acupuncture points are located) and balancing the energy within our body. It is designed to reduce stress and pain. Injuries can be repaired, aging can be slowed down and it is also said to boost the immune system. Many people like to improve their sleep by exercising before bedtime.

Wintertime is a great time to focus on the inside, to again start to rebalance and heal your body mind and soul. From December on we are offering a new Qi Gong class focusing on the 8 Brocades. For more information please don´t hesitate to contact us and check our website.
